Jed and Gail holiday with us in Dorset/Hampshire every year, but this year Jed has achieved his personal best Barbel of 11lb 2oz under the careful instruction and beady eye of "The Chief" as Jed so reverently calls Andy! After switching to John Baker Boilies and paste Andy and Jed fished the middle reaches of the Dorset Stour and one night, in perfect conditions, Andy landed a Barbel of 10lb 8oz, and Jed this one of 11lb 2oz! The only problem was getting Jed to keep his eyes open for a photo! Every single shot I took, Jed closed his eyes! Matchsticks wern't worth a light, we came unstuck with sellotape and making him laugh had us in hysterics! Next time Jed I'm going to put a dirty big R.A.T in front of you so you can't take your eyes off it! (Jed hates rats with a vengence!) Anyway, well done, you've got a lot of work to do to top this one on your next hols mate! To conclude the tale, the next holiday that Jed and Gail had with us he landed another specimen of 14lb 7oz!!!!! Have got the photo on file and he actually had his eyes wide open - too wide in fact as they were bright red!! Fantastic results, but just don't bother coming down here on holiday next time, as you might not get back home again!!!!(only joking, love you both!)
